About Stephanie Poma

Stephanie’s Bio

Stephanie Poma is a NJ-based Occupational Therapist with a passion for mental health. After creating a step by step plan for her own personal healing from sexual trauma, Stephanie saw her own journey was based on occupational therapy roots. This set her on a mission to advocate for the way her field could help individuals who had experienced trauma.

In 2022, Stephanie was able to share her experience and insight at conferences of organizations including the New Jersey Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the International Human Trafficking and Social Justice Conference. Today, Stephanie has opened up a practice named Resurrected Living in which she helps individuals who have experienced sexual trauma.

Overview of Business

Resurrected Living is a space where survivors of sexual trauma receive occupational therapy services consisting of a concentration of the body through the sensory system followed by a solution-based approach. The process is intentionally structured to help a person first feel comfortable and safe enough within themselves before engaging in the external - their goals. It is a different approach that helps emphasize other therapeutic disciplines such as talk therapy. Resurrected Living aims to partner with every client to accomplish their achievements from the inside out.
